Mvuu Wilderness Lodge is small and intimate in a stunning secluded setting. There are just 4 large en-suite tents and a unique stone and thatch Honeymoon suite. All rooms are tucked away in thick riverine vegetation and have a private view of the palm-fringed lagoon and surrounding bush. The tranquillity of being close to water in an area of pristine wilderness is unsurpassed.
A raised thatched dining area is connected to the lodge by wooden walkways and leads to a natural-rock swimming pool set in a deck of fragrant cedar wood. The whole camp boasts a backdrop of indigenous yellow-barked fever trees.
Liwonde National Park has plenty of game including beautiful Sable antelope, plus outstanding success with Black Rhino, who have been breeding well ever since they were introduced in 1997. Evening game viewing by boat is a speciality, as are bicycle trips to a Malawian village where you can stay overnight on your Malawi safari. Other activities on offer on your Malawi safari are overnight stays at a nearby animal and bird hide and half-day walks along the river.
