This is Malawi's premier wildlife area. Much of the terrain is Shire River floodplains, visited by a healthy population of Elephants, Buffalo and Hippo, plus amazing birdlife. Mvuu Camp is situated to the south of Lake Malawi in the Liwonde National Park, the camp is built overlooking the Shire River, the main drainage river from Lake Malawi.
A novel way to arrive at Mvuu Camp is by boat transfer from Liwonde Town, which is an hour and a half ride up the Shire River.
